DTPMP•Na₂ ist ein hochwirksamer phosphonatbasierter Komplexbildner zur Verhinderung von Kalk- und Mineralablagerungen in industriellen Wasseraufbereitungssystemen. Das Produkt wird insbesondere in Kühlwasserkreisläufen, Kesselanlagen, Umkehrosmoseanlagen sowie in der Öl- und Gasindustrie eingesetzt und zeichnet sich durch eine hohe Calciumtoleranz und ausgezeichnete Temperaturstabilität aus.

Aufgrund seiner hohen Calciumtoleranz, Temperaturstabilität und ausgezeichneten Hemmwirkung gegen Carbonat-, Sulfat- und Phosphatablagerungen zählt DTPMP·Na₇ zu den leistungsstärksten Phosphonaten für anspruchsvolle Wasseraufbereitungsanwendungen.
